You’re invited to eros studies (virtual), an intimate gathering: part educational series, part munch*, part oral history but mainly a series of mostly horizontal conversations that invite collective exploration into the realms of ecology, sexuality, kink, and BDSM organized by Cy X.

This event is an informal lecture and open studio update on my glory hole research.

Suggested Donation: $10-30

Eros Study is going virtual now. This series launched this past summer in New York at Hex House and the first event was also on glory holes with my friend Ize Commers.

Since then a lot has happened: I left NYC, my obsession with holes grew, I saw and experienced many glory holes in person, and the world broke my heart over and over again as I witnessed (and am continuing to witness) genocides and legalized murder in Gaza, Congo, and beyond.

This virtual share will function as a lecture and open study into some of the further research I’ve been doing while a part of Fluent’s praxis programme in Santander, Spain. I’ll share a little about the history of glory holes, screen work by my favorite hole-obsessed artists: Ize Commers and Kamikaze Jones, and share how glory holes are supporting my current liberation practice.

Note on suggested donation: I’ve been unexpectedly unemployed for over six months now so I’m asking for some generosity aligned with your current capacities <3

His arts & culture writing has been published by X-TRA, Screen Slate, and The Brooklyn Rail.
